Remembering you and many of the laughs we had back when tennis was really amateur. You "helped out" behind the bar of one of the pubs in Budleigh - Deidre and I were too young to think about going to the pub. But we loved all the stories. The wonderful story of Jill and Alan Mills and Deidre (Catt) and the hotel in Budleigh. Told and enlivened for over 50 years.
Your "table" in the Members Enclosure at Wimbledon this year was strangely empty - David Godfrey talked to me about bringing you up for the day to Wimbledon. It did not happen.
I owe you a drink at that table. What will you have? We will all catch up with you one of these days. Meanwhile the stories continue and you are sorely missed.
